About Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder

img-alt

The Bodum Bistro Electric Burr Coffee Grinder with an adjustable grind is our premier coffee grinder. Conical burr crushes beans as opposed to slicing them (with your typical blade grinder); ensuring consistency while preserving the bean's intrinsic flavor and aroma. 12 settings from coarse to fine, you can deliver the ideal grind for any brewing method. The grinder comes with a static-free borosilicate glass container with a rubberized grip to catch and safely transfer the grounds.

What users have to say about Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder

I only have to fill the holding tank for beans once a week, because it's generous. I can get the exact fineness of grind I want, using the easy adjustment mechanism.

The color and design look nice in my kitchen, and it has a handy guide on the inside part of the lid that helps determine the grind time.

Since I moved here I haven't bothered with the grinder, but I bought a burr grinder because I wanted to make my espresso sooner rather than later, and now I see a difference in the depth of the beans.

All of these are excellent machines and all of the other machines researched under $400 have serious drawbacks, so let's take a look at each one.

The coffee Hopper is large, so it's easy to set a wide range of grind consistency, and there's a separate dial for the grind time, so you can just use it.

FAQ

Q:

Which one do you prefer, the Capresso Infinite or this?

A:

The review from coffeegearat home.com helped me make a decision about the bistro, it had a larger bean catcher capacity than the Capresso.

Q:

Is it possible to replace the glass receiver if I break it?

A:

The replacement part from Bodum is out of stock for 3 months. I contacted Bodum and they said it would be in stock in June.

Q:

Does it have a setting for how many cups to grind?

A:

We grind with the setting just right of the middle and for one 20 second grind and one 5 second grind for 12 cups.

Q:

I had a grinder that stopped grinding this morning, but I didn't know what to do with it.

A:

It does not grind, but it makes a terrible sound when I turn it on, which is why I am looking for a new brand.

Q:

Is the burrs conical or flat?

A:

There are conical burrs.
